“I invest in collecting objects and art supplies: it is a precious curated collection, the colors and juxtaposition of goods a stimulation to dream up artwork.Sometimes saved for too long, what I’ve accumulated as precious is let go into the artwork, a use that ironically makes the artwork precious. People have told me that they were unsure about my art at first blush, but discovered greater appreciation the more they looked.  It’s as if my process of making things with extreme rich detail is slowly revealed to others. “

Theresa Martin is a mixed media collage artist and a graduate of the Corcoran College of Art and Design. She is a frequent contributor to Stampington Magazines with articles and artwork appearing in Somerset Studio, Art Quilting Studio and Somerset Digital.
